Life is a little bit easier now that I have met some young people like me

Alternate Tuesdays and Saturdays – city centre venue

Yambo is our youth support service for young people up to the age of 19 who are affected by HIV. Young people can be HIV+ themselves or have a family member who is HIV+, and nobody has to disclose their own status unless they are happy to do so. The group meets twice a month and offers social activities, support and information about a range of issues. Youth workers Evelyn and Rachel also offer support to individual young people and to family members who want to know more about what the service offers.

Yambo has strong links with other HIV support groups for young people across the UK, and has met up with groups in Manchester, Barnsley, Stoke-on-Trent, Luton and London.
